The Annual Wage and Business Survey, conducted under the Canadian Machine, Tool, Die & Mould Federation, collects information on wages, benefits, business statistics and benchmarking information for the machine, tool, die & mould industry. It is acknowledged as a valuable instrument within our industry and the majority of CTMA members participate annually.
The 2008 survey IS NOW CLOSED. Watch for information about our 2009 survey coming in October. The deadline for completion of submissions will be NOVEMBER 16, 2009. The results report will be made available to participating member companies mid-December.

Highlights from the 2008 Wage and Business Survey
- 61% of member companies purchase equipment/services or source work, equipment/services or contract work from other member companies
- 74 companies participated in the survey covering 7,397 employees
- 97% of member companies are non-union shops
- 83% of member companies provide drug and dental plans for their employees
- Detailed wage rates for 106 industry-related employee classifications

The Canadian MTDM Federation Annual Wage and Business Survey collects information regarding wages, benefits, business statistics and benchmarking information for the machine, tool, die & mould industry and is only available to participating members of the affiliated associations.
The Wage and Business Survey is acknowledged as a valuable instrument within our industry and the majority of CTMA members annually participate. We know that our members recognize that the accuracy of the survey results is directly related to the accuracy of the information that is submitted.
This survey is conducted for CTMA, CPMA, and CAMM members as part of their membership dues and there is no additional cost to participate and receive the results’ report.
Members that participate in the on-line format can expect to receive an electronic results’ report mid-December and members that participate using the paper format can expect to receive a printed results report in early-January.
The Results Report is ONLY available to participating member companies. It is NOT available for sale or otherwise to non-participating members or non-members.
