More than 300 international delegates from approximately 20 countries attended the 2010 World Tooling Conference in Windsor June 20-24, 2010 which was the culmination of the 13th International Special Tooling and Machining Association (ISTMA) Conference, the 11th International Pattern-Model Makers Congress, and an Incoming Trade Mission – partly funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) and Fed-Dev Ontario.
A highlight of the conference for delegates was a full day of plant tours that included a wide variety of Windsor-area machine, tool, die, and mould shops that opened their doors for an interesting and impressive display of state-of-the-art capabilities and skill sets. In addition, more than 20 speakers from around the world provided Technical Presentations on a wide range of industry relevant topics.
Intermixed with the business activities were several social events and networking opportunities, highlights of which included the 52nd Annual Target Fireworks and a Farewell Dinner at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.
The CTMA thanks all delegates and sponsors for their enthusiastic participation and the Windsor-area CTMA members, plant tour hosts and others who contributed to making this international event a world class success!
