CTMA’s High School Awards

The High School Awards, which began in 2022, recognize students who have demonstrated a high proficiency in metalworking skills, a positive attitude, and who have plans to pursue a career in one of the precision metalworking trades.

The CTMA, in partnership with the Ontario Council for Technology Education (OCTE), select high school manufacturing technology programs from across Ontario to submit nominations for the CTMA’s High School Awards, which are handed out at graduation ceremonies.
This award rotates through eligible high school manufacturing programs, each year.

What will students receive?

  • $1,000 prize
  • Certificate of Achievement (presented to school during graduation ceremony) to acknowledge their contribution to the future of the precision metalworking industry
  • Turner’s Cube made by Rapid Enterprises

Who is Eligible?

The ideal candidate will be a graduating student who has demonstrated a high proficiency in metalworking skills, a positive attitude, and has plans to pursue a career in one of the precision metalworking trades.
