AarKel Tooling Technologies has announced the acquisition of the shares of Superior Tool and Mold, located in Oldcastle, Ont. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in AarKel’s continued growth strategy and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening its capabilities and expanding its presence within Canada’s tooling industry.

Founded nearly 33 years ago, Superior Tool and Mold has earned a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service. Through this acquisition, more than 80 highly skilled associates will join the AarKel organization, bringing valuable expertise and experience that will further enhance the company’s capabilities.

“This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity for AarKel and for the future of manufacturing in our region,” said Larry Delaey, president/CEO of AarKel Tooling Technologies. “Superior Tool and Mold has built an outstanding business and assembled an exceptional team. I have known Jeff Green and Don Walker for many years, dating back to earlier in my career when I worked with them as a program manager, and I have always had tremendous respect for the company they have built and the people who have made it successful.”

The addition of Superior Tool and Mold strengthens AarKel’s presence in the Windsor region, adding a third facility and a second dedicated tooling operation. The expanded footprint will provide customers with increased capacity, flexibility, and responsiveness while enhancing the company’s ability to support evolving industry needs.

Superior’s diverse and established customer base will complement AarKel’s existing relationships and further strengthen the company’s market position, helping to ensure a sustainable pipeline of work across all AarKel facilities.

As the integration process begins, AarKel’s focus will be on preserving the strengths and culture of both organizations while identifying opportunities for collaboration and continued growth. Superior Tool and Mold founders Jeff Green and Don Walker will remain involved during the transition period to help ensure a seamless integration.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Jeff and Don for placing their trust in myself, Mary, Ahmad, Ben, Brian, and the entire AarKel team throughout this transition,” added Delaey. “We are excited about what we will accomplish together and look forward to building a strong and successful future as one.”

The acquisition underscores AarKel Tooling Technologies’ commitment to investing in people, strengthening Canadian manufacturing capabilities, and delivering world-class tooling solutions to customers across North America.
