Mitutoyo celebrates 50th Anniversary in Canada
On June 29, Mitutoyo welcomed attendees to its facility in Mississauga, Ont., to celebrate the company’s 50th year in Canada. The event kicked off with speeches from distinguished guests, including the Deputy Consul General of Japan, Seitoku Kawakami; a welcome from President of Mitutoyo Japan, Yoshiaki Numata; and a welcome from president of Mitutoyo Canada, Matt Dye. The government of Canada is offering virtual learning sessions for employers across Canada who want information on attracting, hiring and retaining global talent. GIFMP Track 2 now accepting proposals
The Green Industrial Facilities Manufacturing Program (GIFMP) Track 2 for industrial facilities, is now accepting proposals until July 31, 2023. GIFMP includes $194M over five years to support the implementation of energy efficiency and energy management solutions. The program aims to Improve energy performance & competitiveness for industry in Canada, maximize GHG emission reductions in industry, and leverage capacity, experience, and established industrial networks. This program expands on NRCan’s previous industrial energy efficiency management program.
