Burloak Tool has announced the acquisition of Armactool, a tool & die plant in St. George, Ont.

Since the December acquisition, Burloak Tool has successfully integrated the two businesses under the Burloak Tool brand and welcomed all Armactool employees to the Burloak team.

Armactool has provided quality tooling to blue chip manufacturers for more than 20 years.

In that, their mission has been to produce quality tooling, delivered on time at a competitive price. Their mission aligns with the values and standards that Burloak Tool has demonstrated for more than 40 years.

With the ability to optimize across both plants, new die build capacity increases, lead times decrease, and the service offering expands. Armactool has expertise with large complex stamping dies of all types.

The increased fabrication capacity supports the underlying new die build strategy of both companies: in house design, on-site fabrication, and in house die build and trials, to control quality and lead times.

Additionally, Burloak, as a fully integrated production stamper (to 800 tonnes), and now offers stamping services to legacy Armactool customers who require additional outsourced capacity, or short runs.

This latest move from Burloak Tool, is part of a greater business strategy to scale the Burloak Tool offering to existing and new customers while providing the same white glove customer service and quality parts that the industry has come to trust.

President & CEO Sean Brown personally welcomed the entire team and commented that, “Together, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The combined bench strength can’t be beat, die build capacity is increased. More than ever, customers can turn to our team with complex problems they want solved quickly.”
